Recap: Boston College vs. Clemson

Chestnut Hill, MA (SportsNetwork.com) - K.J. McDaniels scored 16 points to go with nine rebounds as the Clemson Tigers topped the Boston College Eagles, 62-60, in an Atlantic Coast Conference bout at Conte Forum.

Jordan Roper added 15 points for Clemson (10-3, 1-0 ACC), which was playing in its league opener. Rod Hall contributed 12 points and seven assists.

Olivier Hanlan led all scorers with 27 points for Boston College (4-11, 0-2). Ryan Anderson tacked on 13 points but went 2-of-10 from the floor and had six turnovers.

Clemson went into halftime leading, 31-17. The Tigers connected on just 36.7 percent from the floor in the period but held the Eagles to only four field goals.

Boston College clawed its way back in the second half by hitting 44 percent of its field goal attempts, including 5-of-7 from 3-point range. However, Clemson shot 52.4 percent from the floor and had 7-of-10 free-throw attempts fall through to hold on.

The Tigers had a 22-14 advantage on points in the paint. Boston College had a slight edge on the boards (33-31).
