Paint ball attack results in 2 juvenile arrests

January 2, 2014

MANATEE — Two juveniles were arrested Thursday and charged with aggravated battery for shooting a person with a paint ball gun.

The juveniles received the guns for Christmas and drove around Manatee County with two other juvenile friends to shoot out of a vehicle for fun, according to a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office report.

The juveniles reportedly drove in the parking lot of Cody’s Roadhouse restaurant, 895 Cortez Road W., at 8:26 p.m. Monday and shot a female patron of the restaurant on the top of her head.

The juveniles fled and parked nearby.

The report does not describe the extent of the victim’s injuries, but did say she wished to press charges.

Law enforcement caught the juveniles shortly after and the two juveniles in the back seat did the shooting, according to the report.
