MANATEE -- A 21-year-old man is facing a child molestation charge, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

Johnny Fitzgerald Yarn, 21, was arrested at 12:41 a.m. Saturday and charged with molesting a 13-year-old, according to an arrest report.

Yarn reportedly walked into the child's home and then went into a room and sat next to the child. He then began to rub the child inappropriately, and the victim screamed and pushed his hand away. Yarn then went outside.

The report states that Yarn and the victim were acquaintances.

Deputies were called to the home, and Yarn was arrested.

The arrest report listed his employer or school as Palmetto High School. Manatee County school district spokesperson Steve Valley said Saturday night Yarn is a former Palmetto student but could not verify his employment by press time.

Yarn was released from the Manatee County jail later Saturday on a $7,500 bond.
