Palmetto man facing drug charges, arrested for failing to appear in court

PALMETTO -- A Palmetto man facing multiple drug charges was arrested Tuesday after failing to appear in court twice.

Latarious Harvey, 23, was arrested for failing to appear in court on Oct. 28 and Nov. 8 for two separate cases, according to court records.

On Oct. 28 Harvey was scheduled to appear at an arraignment hearing for a charge of sale or delivery of cocaine.

On Nov. 8 he was scheduled to appear for a jury trial for a separate case in which he faces charges of possession of cocaine with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia and no valid driver's license.

Harvey is in custody at the Manatee County jail with bonds totaling $41,500.
