December 24, 2013

EAST MANATEE — Investigators have determined a suspicious package left outside a doctor’s office Monday contained no suspicious materials or substances, according to the Manatee Sheriff’s Office.

A patient at Ear, Nose & Throat Associates in the 8400 block of State Road 70 alerted an employee a package had been left outside the front door Monday morning, according to a news release. The employee called the sheriff’s office.

The Manatee County bomb squad detonated the package. The office reopened without incident, the report said.
