Bradenton police arrest four in undercover prostitution operation

BRADENTON -- Police made four arrests as part of an undercover sting operation targeting prostitution, according to the Bradenton police.

Franklin Albin, 69, Dilipkuma Shah, 60, Evencio Cabanas, 50, and Harold McGrath , 81, were arrested Thursday and each charged with one misdemeanor count of solicitation of prostitution, according to a news release.

The operation was conducted by the Bradenton  Police  Department's  Casual  Clothes  and Narcotics Unit throughout the city, targeting anyone soliciting for prostitution or other lewd act.

"The City of Bradenton Police Department will continue its city-wide enforcement effort to prevent and stop the illegal acts of prostitution," Captain William Fowler said in the release.  

A juvenile was also arrested and charged with one felony count of possession of rock cocaine.

Three cars were seized as part of the undercover operation.
