EAST MANATEE -- The company that's giving away a 1927 home near Port Manatee for free if someone can move it has picked up nearly 200 acres east of Palmetto.

Tampa-based Cone & Graham picked up 187 acres at 4900 36th Ave. E, in Palmetto from White Oak Development for $3.25 million, according to property records.

This is the same company that has property on Bayshore Road, south of Rubonia, and needs a home moved to make way for a 499-unit RV park on 92 acres. The company is more known for its construction projects, including building the Interstate 75 interchanges at University Parkway and Fruitville Road.

White Oak purchased the land from Walter Eppard for $1.952 million in 2011.

Representatives from Cone & Graham did not return phone calls seeking comment.
