MANATEE -- A 25-year-old Bradenton man has been charged with shoplifting for the third time in less than two months after authorities said he took $200 worth of clothes without paying for them from the Sears at DeSoto Square mall.
Michael J. Kalmback, of the 100 block of Seventh Street East, entered Sears at 10:30 a.m. Monday, according to a Manatee County Sheriff's Office report.
Kalmback went into a dressing room and put a new pair of jeans under his old jeans, the report states.
Kalmback also stuffed two new shirts inside his waistband and selected a hooded jacket, the report states.
Kalmback left the store going along the back walls and was approached outside by loss prevention officers, according to the report.
Kalmback was charged with shoplifting on Nov. 3 and again on Nov. 6, 2013, according to the report.
All merchandise was recovered.
Kalmback, who was arrested Monday, remained in the Manatee County Jail Tuesday subject to a $1,500 bond, according to the sheriff's office website.
