USF hands out awards, diplomas at Bradenton Center in Palmetto

PALMETTO — A total of 109 students walked across the stage at the Bradenton Area Convention Center to receive a diploma from the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee Sunday.

The fall commencement drew about 300 to the center.

Miriam Fleck of Sarasota won the Golden Bull Service and Outstanding Leadership Award.

J.D. Lotz of Sarasota won the Outstanding Graduate Award.

Psychology teacher Elaine Augustine was named Outstanding Professor.
