Lakewood Ranch wrestlers Hunter Reed (106 pounds), Robert Collier (120) and Dillon Cameron (126) have reached the semifinals in the Jerry Mita Invitational at Pinellas Park High.

Jared Dipsiner (138), Hunter Reed Sr. (145), Lewis Tremblay-Vidal (152) and Zach Benghuzzi (160) will compete in the consolation semifinals for the Mustangs.

Boys basketball

CARDINAL MOONEY 68, BRADENTON CHRISTIAN 57 -- Ryan McMahon had 20 points and five assists for the host Cougars (5-1). Justin Najmy added seven points, seven rebounds and five assists, and Will Grauel had 12 points and five rebounds.

Jake Lister led the Panthers with 17 points, Coleman Barber added 15 and Ryan Leunk had 12.

Girls basketball

OUT-OF-DOOR ACADEMY 40, IMAGINE SCHOOL OF NORTH PORT 10 -- The Thunder stormed to a victory over the host Sharks. Lisa Hoffman led ODA with 21 points, eight rebounds and seven steals. Jenna Bloch had 10 points and eight steals, and Sierra VanSuch added seven points in the win for the Thunder (6-4).

Boys soccer

LAKEWOOD RANCH 1, SARASOTA RIVERVIEW 1 -- With an assist by Ben Wilson, Jake Sollazzo had the lone goal for the visiting Mustangs (4-5) in a win over the Rams.

BRADEN RIVER 2, PORT CHARLOTTE 0 -- The visiting Pirates (6-4-1) were led by Scott Covino. Jared Bieber scored the other goal with an assist by Domenic Alvise.PALMETTO 3, CLEARWATER 2 -- Gregorio Calvillo recorded a hat trick for the visiting Tigers who clinched the No. 1 seed for 4A-District 10.

Javis Taniagua, Raul Loera, and Hunter Brown each assisted on Valvillo's three goals. The Tigers improved to 11-1 overall and 5-0 in 4A-District play.

Girls soccer

BRADEN RIVER 4, PORT CHARLOTTE 2 -- Elizabeth Shirey scored a goal and had an assist to lead the host Pirates. Carly Provan, Kayla Gray and Abigail Holmes also scored goals. Megan Wagner and Olivia Bright each collected an assist for the Pirates, who improved to 8-2-2 in Class 4A-District 11 play.

BRADENTON CHRISTIAN 2, BROOKS-DEBARTOLO 0 -- The Panthers earned a berth in Saturday's final game in the Cambridge Christian School Tournament in Tampa with a win over the Phoenix of Tampa. Virginia Nash scored first, assisted Ayla Johston, and was followed by Maddy Cusak with an assist by Maddy Allen.

Goaklkeepers Emily Malcom (two saves) and Savannah Fernandes (three saves) teamed for shutout. The Panthers face Cambridge Christian in Saturday's tourney final.

SOUTHEAST 8, RIVERVIEW SPOTO 0 -- Daryl Bell had a hat trick and an assist and Mallory Robinson booted two goals as the Seminoles (8-2) blanked the host Spartans. Also getting in the scoring act were Sonia Makki (goal, assist), Samantha Cline (goal, three assists) and Alex Tolksdorf. Jordasia Watson added an assist.

LAKEWOOD RANCH 1, MANATEE 0 -- In tight game, Lindsay Martinez scored the winning goal for the host Mustangs. The lone goal came on a free kick with two minutes left in the contest. The Mustangs improved to 13-0-1 and the Hurricanes fell to 4-3-1.
