Break-ins reported at two Peach's restaurants in Bradenton

MANATEE -- Someone used a landscaping paver to break the windows of two Peach's restaurants in Bradenton and steal money, according to the Bradenton Police Department.

The first break-in happened about 3:30 a.m. at the restaurant at 6057 26th St. W. The case is being investigated by the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

The second break-in happened about 5:26 a.m. at the restaurant at 5702 Cortez Road, according to Bradenton police.

"Unknown suspect threw a landscaping paver through the window of the business, entered and took the money for the morning till which was hidden inside the front corner," police said. "Employee was on scene in kitchen but was not aware of incident until the alarm sounded, and the suspect was gone."

The investigation continues, police said.
