A hearty congratulations to these top achievers.

• Vivian McMillan, well known State competitor, is in hospice care.

• Sympathy is extended to Marty Reiter longtime SWCD player whose son passed away recently. Marty's sister, Betty Lovens, who played as Marty's frequent partner for many years, is living at Casa Mora Extended Care and Rehabilitation Center. Our best wishes to each.

• We are pleased to see new faces on the courts each week. Sixteen teams of District Amateurs made nice competition at Bradenton last week.

• The Southwest Coast District Roofover Research Committee continues to search for the ideal spot to locate.

• One wonders if room exists north of the present Northern District for an 8th District for the Florida Shuffleboard Association. There is an opportunity for promotion of what the late great shuffler, Charlie McGee called "the greatest sport in the world."
