Juvenile male arrested after accosting Bradenton Blues Fest worker

BRADENTON — A juvenile male was arrested Saturday after he reportedly tried to rob a Bradenton Blues Festival worker.

The incident occurred at 11:20 p.m. at 100 Riverfront Boulevard, the site of the second annual Bradenton Blues Festival, according to a Bradenton Police Department report.

The victim used a bicycle with a carriage trailer to take patrons back and forth to the festival, the report states.

The victim was approached by a juvenile male who punched him in the head, according to the report. The victim fell to the ground and the suspect grabbed at his pockets, asking him where his money was kept.

The victim told officers the suspect then ran away without taking any money. Officers located a juvenile male who fit the description, and the victim positively identified the suspect, according to the report.

The juvenile suspect was charged with attempted robbery.
