Boy, 10, charged with pulling knife on other student at Bradenton school

MANATEE -- A 10-year-old student has been charged with pulling a knife on an 8-year-old student at Bayshore Elementary School in Bradenton, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

About 1:30 p.m., deputies responded to the school at 6120 26th St. W., after receiving a report that the older boy had pulled a pocket knife on the younger boy during recess and told him not tell teachers he had a knife, according to a news release.

No one was injured.

The 10-year-old boy was charged with aggravated assault with a knife and possessing a weapon on school property.
