Zechariah Kendall scored 23 points, 15 in the second half, to lead the Braden River boys basketball team to a 48-41 victory over visiting Booker on Wednesday.

Kendall had seven rebounds and four assists. Deondrick Bacon added nine points and six rebounds for the Pirates (3-0).

BAYSHORE 57, LAKEWOOD RANCH 51 -- Justin Harris paced the visiting Bruins with 22 points in a win over the Mustangs.

Demarco Syed-Fisher contributed 18 points for Bayshore (2-5). Lakewood Ranch got 17 points from Justin Otis.

Boys soccer

BRADEN RIVER 2, SOUTHEAST 0 -- Mario Lopez and Alex Cook scored second-half goals to carry the Pirates (4-2-1) past the visiting Seminoles.

Mitchell McCormick had an assists, and Ian Crawford made four saves on the way to his fourth shutout of the year.
