Weather alert: Bradenton's forecast calls for showers Monday night, Tuesday

MANATEE -- Monday afternoon's sunshine in Bradenton is likely to give away to showers Monday night and Tuesday, in advance of the arrival of the coldest temperatures so far this fall, according to the National Weather Service.

For Monday evening and during the day Tuesday, forecasters are calling for a 60 percent chance of rain. The chance increases to 80 percent for Tuesday night, according to the Weather Service. Forecasters are calling for a low temperature of 66 Monday night and for Tuesday, a high of 81 and a low of 67.

But on Wednesday, when continued strong winds are expected to shift from the south to from the north and west, the expected high is only 70 and the low, 48. There is a 40 percent chance of rain on Wednesday.

For Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, forecasters are calling for sunny skies and a high of 66.
