Sarasota police arrest 5 in anti-prostitution sting

SARASOTA -- Sarasota police Wednesday arrested five men during an undercover operation targeting prostitution along North Tamiami Trail, according to a news release.

The men were arrested on charges of solicitation after they approached female undercover officers, police.

Two of the men were from Bradenton and the others were from Sarasota, Venice and Punta Gorda, police said.
