Man charged with robbing Wells Fargo bank in Bradenton

MANATEE -- A 59-year-old man has been arrested and charged with robbing a Wells Fargo bank in Bradenton on Tuesday.

Otto Nunez was arrested Thursday without incident, according to a Manatee County Sheriff's Office news release.

He faces a charge of robbery, according to the report.

About 9:20 a.m. Tuesday, a man walked into the bank branch at 1510 Cortez Road W., and handed over a note demanding money, according to the sheriff's office

The suspect implied he had a weapon but never brandished it, according to the report.

An undetermined amount of money was taken and the suspect ran away, the release stated.

The bank is near the intersection of Cortez Road and U.S. 41 in the same shopping center with Best Buy, Lowe's, Panera and other businesses.
