Pedestrian hurt by hit-and-run driver in Bradenton

MANATEE — A 17-year-old girl suffered a minor injury to her right arm when she was hit by a car, which sped away, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred at 6:40 p.m. Nov. 6 on 30th Street West approaching 51st Avenue West, according to FHP.

The victim told a trooper she was walking north on 30th Street West on the western shoulder of the road when the driver of a red, two-door, sports car, possibly a Honda, hit her arm with a right-side mirror.

The victim was unable to get the license tag. She was taken to Manatee Memorial Hospital by her mother, FHP reports.

Anyone who may have witnessed this crash or has any knowledge as to the identity and or location of the hit-and-run driver or vehicle is asked to contact the Florida Highway Patrol at 239-938-1800.
