Now's the time to pray for restoration of nation

November 9, 2013

How have "we the people" let America change so much over recent years?

Why is there so much hate, fear, distrust and insecurity today in our country? Why was this country declared "no longer a Christian nation" by our president and we did nothing?

We have drifted so far from God, who has blessed this nation in the past, I believe there is only one hope left for us -- return to God.

Two Chronicles 7:14 "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." (KJV)

Why is there not one in our government declaring that we unite (and stop dividing) and pray together? There is power in prayer and if we as a nation cry out to God we have the assurance that He will hear us. I believe this! Do you?

Can we do this in Bradenton? Can we spread this to our friends around the country to join us? Can we agree that on a specific day and time we will stop what we are doing and join hands with someone in agreement and pray this prayer?

Thanksgiving Day seems appropriate.

I (we, any interested?) will meet at 9 a.m. Wednesdays, next to Café on the Beach at the picnic area at end of Manatee Avenue to pray for our nation, our government, and each other. Stop hate, crime, pray for each other. Pray for restoration of this nation.
