November 5, 2013

MANATEE -- About eight hours after he was released from jail, a 32-year-old man and another suspect early Tuesday broke into a Bradenton home and stole electronic items. They were arrested after the resident walked in on the burglary, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

The break-in happened about 1:40 a.m. in the 6900 block of 26th Street West.

Responding deputies arrested Ryan Bernhardt and Daniel West, both 32, and charged them with burglary and grand theft, according to a news release.

Manatee County jail records show Bernhardt on Monday was released from jail after posting bonds totaling $2,620 after he was arrested Friday on charges of drug possession and driving with a suspended license.

Deputies said in the report he was released from jail about 6 p.m.

West also has a history of arrests and time in the Manatee County jail, most recently in March, according to records.

Bernhardt was being held on $9,000 bond at the Manatee County jail.

Booking information for West was not available on the jail website.
