ELLENTON -- Retailers at the Ellenton Premium Outlets are already rolling out their Black Friday deals, and I'm here to help guide you through some of the highlights.
The newfangled tradition of Thanksgiving day and midnight sales returns this holiday season, and as much fuss as people make about stores being open on turkey day, shoppers still turn out.
So far, 67 stores are committed to opening on Thanksgiving starting at 8 p.m., rolling through 10 p.m. until Midnight Madness kicks in for the insomniac shoppers on Black Friday, which is Nov. 29. Thankfully Hershey's Ice Cream, Starbucks and a couple of other places to get your late night pick up will be open to help refuel shoppers as they empty their wallets. But really, with all those leftovers, you might as well saunter through the stores with a turkey leg in hand.
The outlets are off of U.S. 301 and 60th Avenue East at 5461 Factory Shops Blvd., and feature some new additions this fall including Vera Bradley, crys
tal jeweler Swarovski and Hot Topic, which will open Nov. 20.
The best Black Friday deals I've found so far include some freebies, cheap underwear, and heavily discounted jackets, boots and handbags.
For those looking for some fresh skivvies, Jockey is offering $10 door busters and HanesBrands is offering 50 percent off any one item. Le Creuser is giving away a free kitchen tool for the first 100 customers who buy something on Thanksgiving through 8 a.m. Black Friday, but who are they kidding--those tools will be gone in the first two hours.
Wilson's Leather is giving customers 60 percent off the entire store plus 30 percent off your entire purchase, making winter jackets, wallets and iPhone cases, an attractive option this season. U.S. Polo Assn., also has some great deals for polos less than $10, sweaters for less than $20 and sportshirts and blouses for less than $16.
And finally for ladies' feet, Naturalizer is offering 50 percent off boots Thanksgiving and Black Friday.
