Manatee High baseball coach Dwayne Strong resigns from school district

BRADENTON -- Manatee High baseball coach Dwayne Strong, under investigation for possible improprieties in the baseball program, has resigned, according to the Manatee County School District.

Strong had been suspended while the an investigation was conducted by the school district. The case has since been turned over to the Bradenton Police Department for its own investigation.

Strong, who resigned Thursday, was also an administrative parent liaison at Manatee High. He had been the baseball coach at the school since August 2007.
