VA medical clinic here serves veterans well

October 29, 2013

After reading Mr. Rolf Ernst's letter in the Oct. 19 Herald ("VA medical staff here outstanding"), I felt I also had to send a letter. For several years we have heard very negative remarks about the Veterans Administration.

My brother told my husband about the VA clinic here in Bradenton and we made an appointment. The first person we came in contact with via telephone was Ronald. He was very knowledgeable, gave us very plain and uncomplicated directions to the VA.

The doctor we were assigned was Dr. Delyn Murphy along with her nurse, Juan Sanchez. The clinic is an extremely busy place but Dr. Murphy was thorough, very well-informed and took a sincere interest in my husband.

The American people can certainly feel proud that their tax dollars are being well used for veterans that served our country.

Proud to be an American!
