BRADENTON — A driver who ran a red light and crashed into a woman's car left the scene of the accident on 53rd Avenue West in Bradenton on Saturday night, the Florida Highway Patrol reports.
The unidentified driver struck a Toyota Camry driven by a 72-year-old Bradenton woman, according to the highway patrol. The woman had a green left turn arrow and was attempting to turn left onto 26th Street West when the unidentified driver ran a red light and attempted to head east on 53rd Avenue West.
The driver's vehicle, described as a dark-colored SUV, collided with the left rear of the Toyota.
The woman was uninjured.
The accident happened around 8:55 p.m. Friday, investigators said.
