Adoption special offered in October
MANATEE -- Manatee County Animal Services has lots of dogs and cats that need a new home.
For the rest of the month of October, all cost just $15.
"Our shelter is full. Treat yourself to a wonderful pet that would love a new home." said Animal Services Chief Kris Weiskopf.
"Stop by the shelter or adoption center and find your fur-ever family member today, then you can Hoot and Holler! Who knows, one may even do a Trick," said Kris Weiskopf, animal services chief.
All animals adopted receive a health check, are spayed/neutered, vaccinated including rabies, microchipped and a license certificate/tag.
The adoption special is part of the county's plan to become a no-kill community.
The special is available at two locations: In Palmetto, 305 25th St. W. (open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and in Bradenton, 1002 B., Manatee Ave. W., (open Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.).
