MANATEE -- A Palmetto woman discovered Thursday that standing and screaming in the street can lead to incarceration, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

Jessica Marie Brimer was charged with breach of the peace after authorities say she stood outside her home in the 5700 block of 33rd Drive East, Palmetto, and simply screamed and yelled profanities, according to a Manatee County Sheriff's Office report.

The incident occurred at 8 p.m. Thursday.

Brimer was asked by law enforcement and neighbors to go inside her house, but she wouldn't, the report states.

A neighbor told deputies that Brimer went outside and began screaming at 5:30 p.m., including neighbors and children of the neighborhood in her rants, the report states.

Brimer was handcuffed and transported to the Manatee County jail without incident.

Brimer remained in jail Friday on a $120 bond, according to the sheriff's office website.
