FHP looking for hit-and-run driver after crash in Manatee

MANATEE -- Florida Highway Patrol is looking for a hit-and-driver who fled the scene of a crash on University Parkway early Friday.

The crash happened about 3:10 a.m. near the intersection with North Shade Avenue, when the driver improperly changed lanes and struck another car. The driver then continued driving west on University Parkway toward U.S. 301, according to a news release.

No one was injured in the crash.

The hit-and-run driver's car was described as a black Hyundai.

Anyone with information about the hit-and-run driver or the Hyundai can call FHP at 239-938-1800.
