Southbound I-275 closed at Pasco-Hillsborough county line after fatal crash

October 24, 2013

Southbound Interstate 275 is shutdown at the Pasco-Hillsborough county line because of a fatal accident Thursday morning, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.

Originally, Florida Highway Patrol troopers were diverting southbound traffic onto Interstate 75 because all lanes were blocked. Troopers have since opened one lane. Northbound traffic on I-275 is not affected.

The accident happened near the I-275-I-75 split at the county line.

At least one person was killed in the crash, which was reported at 8:44 a.m., according to the FHP website.
