The scoop: Bayshore's playoff chances went up in smoke last week in the loss to Wauchula Hardee. There's still a slim chance based on the math, but it's an extreme long shot that depends on help from Booker and Arcadia DeSoto in addition to winning Thursday's game against the Tornadoes. ... Bayshore couldn't stop Hardee on offense, especially on the ground. ... The Bruins have struggled all season defending the run, allowing 202.6 rushing yards a game. ... That plays into the Tornadoes' hands as senior tailback Marlon Mack has multiple scholarship offers that include programs such as Iowa State, Ohio University and USF. He has 10 touchdowns on the season but was limited to 53 and 35 rushing yards in the Tornadoes' previous two games. ... Booker is coming in fresh off a bye.

Prediction: Booker 21, Bayshore 20.
