Masked intruder breaks into Bradenton mobile home

October 22, 2013

BRADENTON -- A Bradenton couple was awakened early Tuesday by a masked man who was rifling through their dresser drawer but declined to cooperate with police after they told officers they thought the intruder was their granddaughter's boyfriend, according to Bradenton police.

The break-in happened about 2:24 a.m. in the 500 block of Dunwurken Lane, in the Two Rivers Mobile Home Park.

Responding officers set up a perimeter, but a police dog lost the track.

"Victims believe the suspect may be their granddaughter's boyfriend due to his stature," a report states. "When asked for a granddaughter's information the victims became uncooperative and wanted no further police action."
