Sleeping man OK after bullet shatters window above bed in his Bradenton home

MANATEE -- No one was injured early Friday when one of several bullets fired in a Bradenton neighborhood shattered a bedroom window above a bed where a 41-year-old man was sleeping, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

About 1:42 a.m. in the 6300 block of Seventh Street West, someone fired several shots at two residences, according to a news release, and then fled.

One round shattered the living room window and entered a vacant residence, and one round struck the front door of the residence where the man was sleeping. A third round hit the window above his bed, according to the report.
