SARASOTA -- One man was arrested after the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office dismantled a marijuana grow house operation, according to the sheriff's office.
Detectives on Wednesday obtained and executed a search warrant at a residence in the 4500 block of Gallup Avenue and found marijuana being grown in two rooms of the house.
The man growing the marijuana, Yunesquis Gomez Torres, 32, drove into the neighborhood but fled when he spotted law enforcement, according to the report.
"Deputies tried to pull him over and at one point Torres swerved to try to hit a deputy's vehicle," the report states.
Torres was eventually stopped on Cattlemen Rod just south of Bee Ridge Road and arrested.
Torres is charged with trafficking in marijuana, cultivation of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, reckless fleeing to elude and aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer. He is being held without bond at the Sarasota County jail.
