SARASOTA -- A man mourning the loss of his fiancee on Tuesday tossed the woman's ashes into a LensCrafters store at Westfield Southgate Shopping Center, forcing a lockdown at the shopping mall, according to Sarasota police.

"The subject decided to spread the ashes of the deceased fiancee inside the LensCrafters store at approximately 11:20 a.m. Tuesday," a news release states.

Detectives have determined the incident was "not hazardous," and the man will not be charged, police said Wednesday.
