Sheriff: Johnson Photo Imaging burglary loss in Bradenton exceeds $50,000

MANATEE -- Johnson Photo Imaging, 6709 53rd Ave. E., reported a burglary to the Mantaee County Sheriff's Office at 8:17 p.m. Sunday.

Two suspects arrived in a silver or gold Chrysler minivan, drove around the back of the building and parked on the west side of the building facing south. The driver exited the vehicle and smashed the west window triggering the alarm, according to the sheriff's office.

The driver entered the business through the broken window, began grabbing merchandise from behind the counter and passing it out the window to the passenger putting it in the van.

The two then fled the area in the van with the merchandise. Patrol units and K-9 were dispatched and the business searched with no results, according to a report.

A key holder responded to the scene and advised at least $50,000 worth of photographic equipment had been taken, the sheriff's office.

The driver was described as male, thin, wearing black T-shirt, dark jeans, black shoes, black gloves, multicolored hat, and dark shirt wrapped around his face.

The male passenger was described as having dark hair, wearing light-colored long-sleeve shirt, dark jeans, light-colored shoes, and white shirt wrapped around his face, according to the report.
