On resort casinos. Florida Legislature should bring back Internet cafes

October 12, 2013

I read the story about casino gambling in the Oct. 8 Herald and it really upset me. All the politicians worry about is these resort casinos; what about the Internet casinos?

We are senior citizens and snowbirds and enjoyed them tremendously, and they took them away from us. It was an inexpensive entertainment for a lot of seniors. It also provided free meals.

Why did they not regulate them for us instead of only considering large casinos. The closest casino is 40 miles away and not very convenient for a lot of people.

It would put people back to work, it would put businesses back into empty stores and make a lot of people happy.
