Sarasota deputies seek wanted sex offender

October 10, 2013

SARASOTA -- The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is attempting to locate convicted sex offender Brian Lacy, 32, who is wanted for failing to register his address and for lewd or lascivious battery on a 14-year-old-girl.

Detectives responded to Sarasota Memorial Hospital Wednesday to meet with the victim who reported she had a sexual encounter with Lacy the week before. The girl said he called her over to his apartment claiming he had something for her to give her grandmother.

The victim told her mother Lacy forced her to have sex. The mother confronted Lacy and he fled the area a short time later.

During their investigation, detectives found Lacy reported his address as 1678 36th St. in Sarasota, but they determined he had been living at 2522 Mango Ave. since February.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Lacy is asked to call Criminal Investigations at 941-861-4900 or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers 941-366-TIPS (8477) or online at sarasotacrimestoppers.com.
