Brett Eldredge had a couple of minor hits with "Raymond" in 2010 and "It Ain't Gotta Be Love" the following year. He also made his Grand Ol' Opry debut then.
But it wasn't until he released his third single, "Don't Ya," in 2012, and his album "Bring You Back" two months ago, that Eldredge really hit the big time. The single made it all the way to the top of the country airplay chart and the album was No. 2 on the U.S. country chart and earned him a Country Music Association New Artist of the Year nomination.
It's not just country fans who know his work. The success of "Don't Ya" and the album have earned him recent spots on Jimmy Fallon's late night show and on "The Today Show."
So Bradenton fans will be treated to Eldredge at the peak of his popularity when he comes to Joyland on Saturday. It's one of the first stops on his aptly titled "Bring You Back" tour.
This is his first tour as a headliner. In January, he'll join Keith Urban's "Light the Fuse" tour, which just passed through these parts last week.
Details: Doors open 7 p.m., Joyland Country, 5520 14th St., Bradenton. Tickets: $10 in advance, $15 day of show. Information: 941-756-6060, joylandcountry.com.
