Obamacare not delivering on promises of savings

October 9, 2013

I keep hearing and reading that healthcare will become more affordable and premiums will go down!

The Bradenton Herald's Sept. 25 front page quotes U.S. Department of Health and Human Services as saying insurance premiums should come in about 16 percent lower this year. Would somebody tell my Part D prescription provider who just raised my monthly premium 37 percent?

To date this year I have paid $1,276 dollars in premiums plus $200 in co-pays and the provider has paid out about $450 dollars. In other words, they have paid out about 30 percent of what they received in premiums.

And I haven't yet been told how much my monthly Medicare premium for health coverage will go up. I am 76 years old and started helping my brother deliver papers when I was 7 years old. I worked as a teenager while going through high school, worked while going to college for one-plus years and worked 40 years for a large company and am still working part time.

Obama, Reid and that woman (I get nauseated when I see and hear her speak) from California have all lied. I can't wait until Pelosi gets done reading the healthcare law to tell us about the good part of that law.
