FHP looking for hit-and-run driver after crash in Bradenton

MANATEE -- Florida Highway Patrol is looking for a woman investigators say left the scene of a traffic crash Friday morning.

About 8:30 a.m., a car driven by the suspect rear-ended another car stopped in the outside turn lane of northbound 34th Street West at Cortez Road. The woman then drove away, according to FHP.

The woman's car was described as a 1984 or 1985 white Buick. The driver was described as being between 40 and 45 years old and standing 5 feet, inch tall and being of "average size."

Anyone with information about the crash can call FHP at 239-938-1800.
