Local roundup | Lakewood Ranch boys golf team takes fifth at invitational

The Lakewood Ranch boys golf team finished fifth out of 23 teams in the Crutchfield Hawkins Invitational in Sebring.

Danny Walker led the Mustangs, finishing fourth individually with an even-par 72. Ramsey Touchberry and Kelly Sun had 78s, and Luke Miller had an 80. The team is now 75-5 and next competes in the 36-hole Qdoba Tournament of Champions in Orlando this weekend.


BRADENTON CHRISTIAN 3, SARASOTA BOOKER 0 -- The Panthers (6-8) swept the host Tornadoes by scores of 25-7, 25-19 and 25-10. Leading the Panthers were Katie Swaagman (four kills), Lea Sifrid (four kills) Haley Waldo (18 assists) and Savannah Shontere (six digs).
