Duplex fire investigated in Bradenton

MANATEE -- Investigators are trying to determine the cause of a residential fire Friday in Bradenton, according to Cedar Hammock Fire and Rescue.

The fire at 3200 51st Ave. Drive W., Bradenton, was reported at 10:28 a.m., officials said.

Firefighters from Cedar Hammock Fire and Rescue arrived within four minutes of receiving the call, according to a news release. When first responders arrived smoke was seen from the home and a fire in an upstairs building was located and extinguished within minutes.

No was inside at the time of the fire.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by Cedar Hammock Fire Rescue and the State Fire Marshal's office.

No injuries were reported.

The damage was estimated at $10,000.
