Synthetic marijuana seized from Bradenton convenience store

BRADENTON -- Detectives seized more than $3,500 worth of synthetic marijuana from a Bradenton convenience store Friday, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

Detectives executed a search warrant around 3:30 p.m. at Speedy's Food Mart, 415 57th Ave. E., following an investigation by the sheriff's Special Investigations Division.

During the search, they found 231 packages of various types of synthetic marijuana with an estimated value of $3,570, according to a media release.

Any charges will be pending chemical testing and further investigation.
