Bullying still exists on many different levels

September 24, 2013

Reading various articles and letters to editor in the Sept. 18 Bradenton Herald -- AMI Day Tripper bumper stickers; Empowering girls to repel bullies; Bicyclists meeting Silverado pick-up truck bumper -- it's all the same subject.

People fighting bullies.

Silverado driver: Slow down.

AMI officials: The island is for everyone.

Most importantly, attitudes as those build bullies who then teach young ones how to bully, and young people die. Sixteen years ago my 16-year-old niece killed herself after being beaten up by a gang of girl bullies. She would be 32 today.

Nothing has changed.
