3 injured in fight in Bradenton

MANATEE -- Three people were injured late Sunday when an argument fueled by alcohol turned violent, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

About 10:48 p.m., in the 5600 block of 18th Street West, , two men and a woman were drinking when a 39-year-old man attacked a 37-year-old man with a broken beer bottle, stabbing him in the chest and cutting him on the arm, according to a news release.

The younger man was able to defend himself and beat his attacker, according to the report.

A 32-year-old woman was also cut on the arm when she tried to stop the fight, according to the sheriff's office.

The men and the woman were taken to local hospitals for treatment of what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.
