Woman, girl robbed in home invasion in Bradenton

MANATEE -- A 48-year-old woman and a 16-year-old girl were robbed during a home invasion early Monday in Bradenton, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

About 1:33 a.m., in the 1500 block of 14th Street Court East, the four intruders entered the girl's room and threatened her to be quiet. They took her into the woman's room and woke her up, as well, according to a news release.

The intruders then threw a blanket over the victims' heads and ransacked two of the bedroom. They then fled the house, according to the sheriff's office.

No one was injured.

Detectives were trying to determine whether anything was taken, according to the report.

Detectives said they did not know how the intruders entered the house.
