Local roundup | Bayshore volleyball team rallies for district win over Southeast

Joy Norman had 15 kills, and JoJo Muldoon added 12 as the Bayshore volleyball team outlasted host Southeast 18-25, 24-26, 25-10, 27-25, 15-9 in a Class 5A-District 10 match Tuesday.

Kristen Fleury had 36 assists, and Sierra Booth had seven aces for the Bruins (5-2, 3-0).

Emma Bartges led Southeast (1-7, 0-1) with 23 kills, 17 digs and three aces. Lacey Sanchez had 34 assists and eight digs. Richamily Robles had 17 digs. Casey Harman contributed eight kills.

BRADENTON CHRISTIAN 3, IMAGINE SCHOOL OF NORTH PORT 2 -- The Panthers got six kills from Jayme Haynes and five from Jill Newby to defeat the visiting Sharks 25-9, 25-9, 21-25, 25-14 in Class 3A-District 10 play.

Kara Sayle added 10 digs, and Savannah Shontere pitched in with eight digs and seven aces. Haley Waldo dished out 24 assists for BCS (2-5, 1-2).

OUT-OF-DOOR ACADEMY 3, SAINT STEPHEN'S 1 -- Natalie Buffett and Lauren Maxey combined for 27 kills as the visiting Thunder improved to 6-1, 3-1 in 3A-10 play with a 25-12, 19-25, 22-25, 22-25 victory.

Reanna Gregory contributed seven kills and three blocks, and Cameron Graham had 28 perfect passes, 17 digs and four aces.

The Falcons (2-9, 1-2) got 25 assists and 19 digs from Bryce Liebel, while Lauren Biach had 14 kills and nine digs.

Boys golf

PALMETTO TRI-MATCH -- Southeast's William Kelly shot a 37 to earn match medalist honors in a tri-meet with host Palmetto and North Port at Imperial Lakewoods.

The Bobcats won with a team score of 174. The Tigers (3-4) were second at 210, and the Seminoles shot a 257.
