OLDSMAR --The Lakewood Ranch boys golf team stretched its undefeated season record to 41-0 with its fourth tournament victory in a row. The Mustangs defeated 15 teams from around the state with a 3-over par total in the Outback Invitational at East Lake Woodlands South Course. Leading the way was sophomore Kelly Sun, who finished 2-under par and was medalist in rain-shortened event. Luke Miller and Ramsey Touchberry were 1-over par; Danny Walker and Charlie Sun were 3-over; and Ben Parisi was 5-over. Olympia High finished second at 7-over par.

ELSEWHERE -- Lakewood Ranch's volleyball team beat Southeast 3-0 by scores of 25-9, 25-14, 25-15. Leading the effort for the Seminoles (1-6) were Marline Valcin (three kills, one ace), Myrcleine Valcin (three kills), Emma Bartges (three kills, one ace) and Lacey Sanchez (six assists. two aces). In the junior varsity match, the Mustangs swept the Seminoles 25-3, 25-6. ... Bradenton Christian's volleyball team beat the host Cambridge Christian Lancers 3-2 by scores of 25-16, 25-21, 18-25, 16-25, 15-13. Leading players for the Panthers (1-5) were Abbie James (25 kills, three aces), Alex Watson (eight kills), Kia Kern (four kills, three blocks) and Haley Waldo (40 assists).
