ODA golfers beat Southeast

Thomas Vlcek and Gary Beng both shot 39 to share medalist honors and lead the Out-Of-Door Academy Thunder to a 160-234 victory over the Southeast Seminoles in prep boys golf Monday at the Preserve Golf Club at Tara. Ricardo Vlcek added a 40 for ODA. William Kelly led Southeast with a 42.

Girls golf

MANATEE TRI-MEET -- Manatee hosted Venice and Sarasota at Bradenton Country Club. Venice (2-0) won the meet with 169. Manatee (3-1) shot 207 and Sarasota (1-2) 239. Grace Gildmer of Venice was medalist with a 39. Gianna Tomeo led the Hurricanes with a 40.

Volleyball

SARASOTA CHRISTIAN 3, SOUTHEAST 0 -- The Blazers earned a road victory with a 25-15, 25-12, 25-22 sweep of the Seminoles. Leading Southeast were Emma Bartges (nine kills, three digs) and Lacey Sanchez (nine assists, one kill).

• JV: Sarasota Christian won 2-0 (25-8, 25-17).
