Silver Alert canceled after Sarasota man found OK

SARASOTA -- A Silver Alert for a missing 77-year-old Sarasota man has been canceled after he was found safe Wednesday morning, according to Sarasota police.

Antonio Olivieri, who suffers from dementia and diabetes, had been last seen about 8 p.m. Tuesday at his home in the 2900 block of Novus Street.

Wednesday morning, he was found safe off Whispering Oaks Court, east of Beneva Road in Sarasota. He was reunited with his wife about 8:45 a.m., police said.
